I don’t know where I’ve been that I missed AQ getting as big as it has.  I know all the kiddies Krieger picked up from it, but I didn’t realize that Artix not only made it onto Wikipedia, but also has two more games.  I discovered this while searching J!nx and finding Twilly there!

Where have I been?…lol  Congrats Artix!  I cannot believe that little game got so big.

I broke my site even worse trying to fix the upgrade issues.  Xano fixed it for me last night…even without me.  I stood him up.  Fell asleep watching TV with Vanessa…lol

After many messages inquiring about how I’m doing, I thought I should post that I’m perfectly fine.  Just having one bad week.  We found the kitten, Beck gets to go to summer school, and life goes on. =)  I really should watch how I just type the basics.  Too many people apparently think I’m ready to slit my wrists or something when in reality, I’m just tired and posting what seems eventful without the humor and flair that takes more effort to post.

Rebecca failed 8th grade.  Had a huge fight with the ex about whether she should be allowed to go to summer school or not.  Finally, I offered to pay for it.  He said he could, but he’d need a child support check back in the month of June (A 3 paycheck month for him) and that they’d have to cancel any vacation.  Considering he promises vacation every year and never comes through, I told him that’d be fine.  Vanessa had a cow and told me I allow him to use me.  Probably right, but I would rather be used than the kids suffer.

I got called into work yesterday when it was supposed to be my day off.  I’ve been doing OTC stuff since the OTC manager has been out.  It’s actually hard work and I don’t like it. =(

The ex’s niece (kids’ cousin) graduates Thursday night.  Kids were planning to go.  I got an invitation too, but I work…and wouldn’t go anyway.  I bought her a present though to send with the kids.  Ex called last night.  He said they couldn’t go unless I brought them to his house because he wouldn’t have time to pick them up before going.  I told him I had to work until 7PM.  No way I could take them.  I suggested his parents take them.  They live 15 mins from my house.  He called, they said that they had plans to leave at 10AM.  Kids couldn’t leave school until noon because of final exams.  So the ex said, “Sorry.  You can’t go.”

Vanessa called him right back and lit into him.  It was the funniest thing.  “So basicaly, because we don’t live with you, we’re not part of that family?”  Her dad said, “Stop and think about what you’re saying Vanessa!”  She said, “I’m not a retard.  I know what I’m saying.  Think about what you’re saying.  Your mom won’t change her plans by two hours to make sure we get to go.  You won’t leave work early for us.   Because we don’t live with you, we don’t get to go.”  He ended up saying he’d leave work early, but they were going to yell at him.  She said she thought he was expecting her to say, “Don’t do that.” but instead, she said, “We’ll be ready when you get here.” and hung up the phone.

This morning, I get up and no kitten.  The one white kitten that survived out of Pistachio’s litter is no where to be found.  She usually comes when I call and meow, but not this morning.  I have to leave for work soon and can’t find her anywhere. =(

Bad week and it’s only Tuesday!  *cries*

I was at work and this kiddo was playing with the Tooth Tunes - musical toothbrushes.  I hear each one at least once and then I hear, “Bow chicka bow bow”.  I immediately think, “OH MY WORD!  Venture NEEDS one of those!!!!”  I start looking through the brushes and find nothing that sounds like the pr0n theme.  Finally, I look over and see a display for Axe with a push button on it.  Sure enough, it was the display, not the toothbrushes. =(

I still think that’s a great idea.  What could possibly be a better way to start your day with a smile than pr0n music in your mouth?

I was trying to upgrade to WP2.2 and instead, broke my dashboard page.  It’s got a lovely “Call to undefined function: get_private_posts_cap_sql() ” error.  The suggested fix was to reload that file, which I did, but it sure didn’t fix for me.  I’m sure it’s something easy that I simply don’t understand, but for now, I’m stuck with 2.1.2 and a broken Dashboard page.

This past weekend was prom weekend and the kids didn’t go.  Cody didn’t want to accept the money to go - not even when I told him he could do some yardwork to earn it…and even if he had, it would have been wasted money.  Cody got suspended from school for two days.

This new kid at school considers himself a gang banger.  Apparently he has East Side tattooed on his arms.  How lovely.  He’s been picking fights with several of the smaller kids at school and Cody is not big.  The kid had already tried to beat up one of Cody’s friends.  I guess he decided to start picking on Cody.  Bad move.  He told the boy to back off and the boy took a swing at him.  Cody ducked and came back up with his own punch.  Hit him in the nose.  Both boys were suspended for two days. 

Now here’s the part I don’t get.  The school suposedly has a no tolerence policy for violence.  This kid’s been in several fights and yet he’s still there.  If I were Cody’s mom, I’d have been up at that school in two seconds flat.  Not fair for him to have been put in that situation with a known bully that the school did nothing about.  It was obvious the school wasn’t going to protect him from this kid.  They shouldn’t punish him for protecting himself.  Cody’s never been in a fight.  He’s a good kid and gets good grades.  He’s got the option to graduate early if he wants.  I’d so be up there yelling at someone…and I sure thought about doing it anyway, but didn’t want to get Cody in trouble with his mom.  He wouldn’t like it if I PKd her. =(

Overall, I enjoyed the movie as a movie, but found it lacking for a Spiderman movie.  Here’s my list of complaints ripped from the Krieger boards!

MJ. While I understand she’s probably in danger a lot, does she really have to play the HELPLESS damsel in distress? Can’t she be a feisty redhead and at the very least backtalk? She managed to throw a cinderblock to help Peter, but what about helping herself? Is that completely against her way of thinking? It was also distracting that she so obviously did not do her own singing. They could have at least found someone that sounded as if it could have been her.

Spiderman. Thank goodness for this new unlimited supply of web because while Peter may be a genius, Spiderman isn‘t witty. Not only are there no wisecracks, but he’s almost completely reactionary. I’d hate to think what would happen if he ran out of web! Aside from the one time he clothes lined the Hobgobblin, I don’t think he really showed any creative thought at all. I can handle the emo stuff, but give me some humor and thought to go along with those emotions! …and maybe some new Spidey gadgets. It would at least show that he knows about something more than acoustics.

Spidey sense. Does he really have this or is it just hype? I heard them talk about it, but I sure didn’t see it.

Harry. While I love Harry‘s character - quite possibly more than Peter as he has more life, I don‘t understand how one little speech from a butler turns him good. Why didn’t the butler speak out in Part 2 and save us all the trouble?

Confessions. I guess it’s part of the emo style that the Sandman felt the need to share his story with Spidey. It may have been more fitting to have had the confessional scene in the church. Why didn’t Venom feel this same need? It would have helped to know that the suit kept Peter’s memories before the seemingly random meeting between Venom and Sandman. That one short sentence stating ‘the suite remembers’ was really awkward and not nearly enough background.

Despite all that, I enjoyed the movie. Just not really what I thought Spiderman should be.

Got up this morning and Pistachio’s runt kitten had died.  Not a good start to the morning.  I’ve been in tears. =(  She’s the worst mom ever, but I’m not sure she’s to blame.  She’s been feeding them (we’ve been making sure of that), but her milk is drying up.  Maybe she’s just not got enough?  I don’t know.  The kitten looked fine, but was in the living room floor alone rather than in the kitten basket with the other one.  Luckily I was the one that found it.  I’ve been in tears all morning.  I’m sure the kids would have been even worse if they’d found it.
